Martha María opened her clinic in 2022, after working for 13 years in the veterinary field with 6 of those years as a dedicated surgeon at a nearby clinic. Dra. Martha María and her team believe in a natural diet for dogs and cats consisting of fresh food and primarily protein. Her team will take a stepped-approach to your pet’s health starting at the foundation: a healthy diet.

WILL I RECEIVE CONSULTATION NOTES?

Unfortunately, no, but they might be available if you ask. Most the vets in Tijuana do not provide consultation notes. However, a few vets, including Dra. Martha’s clinic, can make this available as needed. If you need this for your pet insurance or another veterinary provider, reach out to Dra. Martha’s clinic ASAP and make the request directly to them (there will likely be a fee to generate any requested documentation).

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY LAB RESULTS?

Please note that consultation or lab results might be in Spanish. If you need help translating the documents, Google Translate and Chat GPT are great tools. You can also reach out to the vet for translation assistance.

Vet services with NO physical/digital copies:

Ultrasound - verbal results during appointment, you will not get copies, in-house diagnostics only

Skin scrape - verbal results during appointment, you will not get copies, in-house diagnostics only

Where do i register my pet’s microchip?

There a multiple sites you can register your pet’s microchip. The leading ones seem to be Home Again and AKC Reunite. Feel free to reach out to a MexiVet team member if you’re having any trouble getting the microchip registered, we can help!

DO I NEED A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT?

If you had an appointment and your pet is not getting better or the treatment does not seem to be working, please reach out to the clinic directly through phone call or email. Send them a summary of how the treatment is going and if relevant, send pictures too. They might be able to adjust the treatment and send a medication delivery with a MexiVet driver. Ask about that!
